For me, it says the file is corrupt.
I’m told by Julia Rios that it’s corrupt because that movie is terrible.
In seriousness: is it corrupt from the feed or from the main page? More info would help figure out what is going on.
For now, try getting it straight from here: https://archive.org/details/SandFEpisode190TortureCinemaMeetsTransformers2
That’s a good reason.
On this page, when I click the “Episode 190 — Download (MP3)” button it comes up with “Video can’t be played because the file is corrupt.”
On the link you gave, the same thing happens with the 144.2 MB version, but the 81.0 MB version appears to play just fine.
That makes absolutely no sense to me…
What browser are you using? Can you download the mp3 by right clicking?
Is that what you said after watching the movie?
Firefox. It just opens in a new tab.
Ha!
OK. Just checked my Firefox. It does it there for some reason, but not in Chrome. I’m going to look into it.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. For now, umm…just DL the mp3 or the other file type? Alternatively, use some sort of podcast subscriber. I dunno. Until I get it fixed, it’s going to be mildly inconvenient. This has never happened before :S
OK. Figured it out. Sorta. For some reason, Firefox doesn’t like the player associated with Archive.org when an mp3 is involved. I don’t know why; all I know is it hates it.
However, WordPress.com does have an audio embed feature, which *does* work in Firefox (just tried it out). I’ve embedded that into the episode here. It will ask you to run the plugin, because it’s Flash or something, but it works on my end.
Do let me know if it works for you! I’ll do this from now on: the player and the mp3 download link.
The embed works for me. Thanks.
