In structural terms, you can do very different things with 9-15k words of fiction than you can with 3-6k (or 20-40k). One of the things that’s awesome about the genre community is that it supports the novelette and novella forms.
The nominee numbers are released when they release the voting breakdowns after the Hugos are awarded.
Any chance you could list the things you would nominate? I couldn’t make out the name of a couple of things such as the blog by Aiden(?) something-or-other that I’ve not heard of yet.
Cheers 🙂
Hi Welsh,
Sorry it took me a while to do this. I actually posted my final list here: http://wisb.blogspot.com/2013/03/hugo-award-what-i-nominated.html
I can try to put together a collection of all the stuff Adam and I named next week, which will probably make it very uninteresting due to age 😛
Hey, that’s great. It will still be interesting in a weeks time. I’m always looking for new stuff to fills my shelves and blogs to fill my feed reader. 🙂
