This week, we really want to know about the SF/F books you’ve read that made you cry. What about those books put tears in your eyes?
The last book to make me cry was the 6th Harry Potter book, in part because I had fallen in love with Richard Harris’ portrayal of Dumbledore. I cried from the moment of Dumbledore’s death until the end (a good 40 pages worth of crying) and my sister had to console me.
What about you?
(To be fair, this feature has never been a weekly thing. So be it.)

Bridge of Birds, by Barry Hughart.
Every. Single. Time.
I can cry just thinking about that book.
The 4th and the 7th book made me cry…
What about #4 made you cry about the 4th book?
When cedric died… he was lovable before he became edward cullen. LOL
Supposedly he hates being Edward Cullen. I don’t blame him…
Picture this: a large man–I’m talking 6’6″, 240 pounds kind of large–covered in tattoos, sobbing like he’d just skinned his knee after Dumbledore took an Avada Kadavra to the face.
Yep. That was me.
Something about this story did it for me, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Plus, those books are what set me back to writing.
Good post!
I must admit: that is a funny image, but totally understandable!
