  1. Loved this episode and all your thoughts. They really helped me clarify and cement my own thinking, and gave me some new insights. I desperately wanted to argue with some of the points being made about the Admiral and Poe, though. I realize the argument was that the Rebels were always together in a group and told the plan/mission, and deviating from that established behavior felt tricksy, but…I have to agree with those arguing that Poe was owed nothing. And…this was a new leadership. Bosses often do things their own way, and that’s their right and pretty standard.
Imagine for a moment, if a pilot from Battlestar Galactica had just gotten a whole slew of crew killed and acted like Poe. Then, stomped onto the bridge and demanded answers and plans. hahahaha, can you imagine? I think the Admiral was too lenient with Poe, and this was borne out by the danger Poe subsequently posed to the whole mission.
Anyway, your discussion of the philosophy of balance was especially wonderful. You all made my morning. Thank you!
